Schöne Ferienwohnung, die den Bildern entspricht. Etwas staubig und mit Schimmel in den Bädern, aber noch vertretbar. Die Matratzen hingegen sind sehr bedauernswert: Zwei waren super hart, die anderen beiden durchgelegen, in keinen konnte man bequem schlafen.

Der Whirlpool war sehr gut benutzbar, das Wasser war sauber, lediglich auf der Oberfläche der Wanne waren sandige Ablagerungen (vielleicht Kalk?). Die Abrechnung des Nutzung nach Stromverbrauch war fair (50ct pro kWh), allerdings läuft der Zähler auch ständig mit, wenn man den Whirlpool nicht benutzt. Für die paar Euro lohnt sich dieses Modell eigentlich nicht und die Nutzung sollte einfach pauschal inkludiert sein.

Die Zufahrt war eher ruppig auf der Schotterpiste, auch mit ein paar ordentlichen Schlaglöchern, aber noch relativ gut befahrbar. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse aus war dann leider doch nicht so toll, wie erwartet, da die Ferienwohnung nicht auf einem Hügel liegt sondern unter einem. Hätte man vielleicht auch den Bildern entnehmen können, war uns aber so nicht bewusst.

Zur Fauna ist zu sagen, dass es schon viele Stechmücken gibt, außerdem Wespen (wurde zweimal gestochen) und sogar Hornissen. Wenigstens sind an allen Fenstern Fliegengitter angebracht, so dass die meisten draußen bleiben. Außerdem gibt es extrem viele Vögel, die alles vollscheißen. Kaum hat man die Liegen abgespritzt, sind sie wieder voll. Auch um den Pool herum (und im Pool) überall Vogelkacke.

This place was so beautiful, tucked into a lovely, quiet hill in the country. It was so picturesque and just what we were looking for. I’m pretty sure we had the whole property to ourselves but that could’ve been the season we came in. We did struggle to enter the house but mostly because the one who booked didn’t have wifi/international service so not their fault at all. We loved this house so much!

The accommodation was in a beautiful secluded location. We were worried about the access road, but in the end we got to the accommodation just fine without any complications. The accommodation was nice and clean, we didn't miss any of the amenities. We hiked from the place to nearby hikes and enjoyed the surrounding hilly countryside sufficiently. Communication with the accommodation was seamless, they even rescued us immediately when we needed help from them. Thank you so much for everything and would definitely recommend!

Wat een heerlijke plek om te zijn. Het huis is oprecht fantastisch. Alles erop en eraan. En zo super fijn dat de slaapkamers airconditioning hebben. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Je kunt je eigen favoriete koffiecups meenemen (niet de nieuwste, ronde vorm!!). De huiskamer is ruim en gezellig. De slaapkamers zijn super groot. La Porcilaia ligt als huis vrij van de andere appartementen, dus heel rustig. Het heeft een eigen tuin, ligstoelen, eettafel en een leuke 'vuurplaats' waar je heerlijk rondom kunt zitten.

De enige minst goede puntjes zijn dat dat bedden een hard matras hebben. Dat ligt wat minder comfortabel. Daarnaast zijn de ligbedden aan het zwembad van metaal!. Dat ligt heel oncomfortabel. We hebben elke dag kussens van de ligbedden bij het huisje meegenomen om enigszins comfortabel aan het zwembad te kunnen liggen.

Maar voor de rest zeker een plek waar we graag nog een keer naar toe gaan.

Er zijn allemaal mooie en leuke plaatsen te ontdekken. Wat wij heel er leuk vonden is Pienza. Daar waren we nog niet eerder geweest.

Très belle villa à la décoration tendance et très confortable. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille et avons bien profité de la piscine. La villa est parfaitement située. Seul inconvénient pour nous la route non goudronnée à suivre sur plusieurs kilomètres avec voiture toute blanche du fait des poussières et risque de crevaison.

Een heerlijke week gehad ik dit huis waar het werkelijk aan niets ontbrak. Alles was mooi, goed en schoon. Ook buiten het huis meerdere leuke plekken waar je kan genieten van de zon en rust die de omgeving je biedt. Met het zwembad om de hoek, waren er meerdere momenten dat we het gevoel hadden een privé zwembad te hebben. De ligging in de buurt van Sienna, en Florance is perfect. We hebben een heerlijke ongedwongen tijd beleeft hier en hebben het enorm naar ons zijngehad

Ieder omliggend stadje heeft mooie plekken om te bezoeken, er zijn restaurants te over en vaak zijn deze ook echt goed

A really beautiful villa which felt very relaxing to stay in. We loved the views and the general setting and the villa itself was well- equipped and everything we expected. Great facilities, especially the pool. Really helpful and friendly staff at To Tuscany as well who answered all our questions and helped a lot when our bags were lost by the airline.

We loved the Sculpture Park which was quiet and a bit cooler with some fantastic art to enjoy. La Grotta del Rana in San Sano and Malborghetto in Lecchi in Chianti were our favourite restaurants. We had a great day out in Florence as well where we used the car park on the outskirts and caught the tram in which was an easy way to see the city at such a busy time.

We had a wonderful stay at La Porcilaia, the setting was perfect and the house was very clean and comfortable. Being May with cooler evenings we made good use of the fire pit which had a plentiful supply of wood and enjoyed watching the shooting stars overhead. The central location of the house is ideal for visiting the area and the lovely hill top villages around.
Special mention must be made to Annie who helped us when we had a puncture by quickly contacting a local garage for us and arranging a replacement (the car hire company were less than helpful!), it saved our holiday!

The new park and ride for Florence is brilliant (Villa Costanza car park). Located just off the A1 it was €5 to park for the day and €3.40 for a return tram ride into Florence. A bargain!
